Over 16 years ago, I founded our sister company, Happy Place – The Cornish Cleaning Company, delivering high-quality care to premium holiday homes in Rock and Polzeath. In May 2024, I became Area Manager for Beach Retreats, overseeing their Watergate Bay properties, where I met Sam and began our professional partnership.
Following a restructure and the outsourcing of Beach Retreats’ housekeeping department in January 2025, Sam and I established Happy Place Property Management. Shortly after, Beach Retreats appointed us to manage housekeeping for 40 properties across Watergate Bay, Mawgan Porth and Perranporth. We quickly built a skilled team, secured premises and implemented robust systems to maintain exceptional standards, and have continued to grow our portfolio since March.

Meet Sam...
With a unique diverse career grounded in service, organisation, and leadership, I bring a wealth of experience to property management. I began my professional journey as an air stewardess, where professionalism, adaptability, and exceptional customer service, discretion, and attention to detail were paramount. I then spent over 20 years in the NHS as a Personal Assistant, supporting senior teams in highly pressurised environments and developing a reputation for reliability, professionalism, and trust.
After relocating to Cornwall, I transitioned into the property sector, where I quickly found my passion. Going straight into a role of Assistant Property Services Manager, overseeing cleaning, contractor relationships, and customer care. It was here that during my10 years I gained in-depth knowledge of the industry and discovered a genuine passion for every aspect of property services.
Today, I am very proud to co-own a bespoke property management business alongside my outstanding business partner Emma, who I met in my previous role as Assistant Property Services Manager. With our combined industry knowledge, together, we share a commitment to professionalism, transparency, and delivering a reliable, high-quality service for property owners and guests alike. with our commitment to excellence, we offer a discreet, dependable, and meticulously delivered service for discerning property owners.
